Assignment #8

I love this story. The story is mysterious, terror, and attractive. The background music is also nice. I can focus on the story. I don't like uncle Joss, but I want to know why aunt Patience is so scare and what happened behind the locked door. Listening to the story can image the characters and space what I like. I don't have scrip so I can only use my ears to know what is the story talking about. It can improve English listening by a happy way.

Assignment #7 The key to success

I agree with both talks. I think the key to the success is not only one thing. It's a lot of reason and you have to experience a lot of things. 8 secrets of success: passion, work, good, push, serve, ideas and persist. the key to success? Grit. All of these are related to the success.

I love many words in these two talks: If you have passion, you don't do it for money. Do it for love, the money comes anyway. Successful people always work hard but they are not workaholics. They are workafrolics. If you want to success, you have to push yourself. You also need to get to persist through failure. Grit is passion and perseverance for very long-term goals. Grit is living life like it's a marathon, not a sprint. Grit is usually unrelated or even inversely related to measures of talent.

To be successful is not easy. You have to pay a lot, but you do not know when will be harvest.

Assignment #6

Lyrics:
Oh Sweet Lorraine
I wish we could do all the good times
Over again
Oh sweet Lorraine
Life only goes around once
But never again
Oh, sweet Lorraine
I wish we could do all the good times
Over again

The good times
The good times
The good times
All over again

The good times
The good times
The good times
All over again

But the memories always linger on
Oh sweet Lorraine
No, I don't want to move on
Oh the memories always linger on
Oh Sweet Lorraine
That's why I wrote you this song

Oh Sweet Lorraine
I wish we could do all the good times
Over again
Oh sweet Lorraine
Life only goes around once
But never again
Oh, sweet Lorraine
I wish we could do all the good times
Over again

The good times
The good times
All the good times
All over again

A 96-year-old man wrote a love letter for his wife who died in April 2013. I love this song because the lyrics isn't difficult. Even just listen to the music, I can image they love each other so much. And the old man miss his wife. He use simple words but has deep emotion.

New words:linger on  -to continue to exist for longer than expected

I have studied Google syntax when I was in senior high school. Google syntax has a lot of syntax, like ""、site、related and *. I didn't use it because I thought it just for exam. Through the class this week, I am surprised at google syntax. I didn't know that google syntax is such useful. When I put * in the sentence, I can know phrase and preposition. When I type site, I can search information in website which I define it.
